Greatbatch Medical's lead, adapter, and delivery system products are intended to be sold through the major OEM companies as additions to their product lines in the markets of cardiac rhythm management, neuromodulation, and hearing restoration.
CRM
With over five million people in the U.S. each year affected by abnormal rhythms of the heart, cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs) require the highest reliability.
Greatbatch Medical has been a pioneer in the CRM market for more than 35 years. We developed the first implanted lithium-iodide battery for pacemakers in 1972 and later developed the first lithium/silver vanadium oxide battery for ICDs. Each of these has become industry standard.
Today Greatbatch Medical is a leading supplier to device manufacturers, providing approximately 80 percent of the non-circuitry components that go into implantable pulse generators as well as both valved and non-valved introducers.
Neuro
As the use of neuromodulation to treat movement disorders such as chronic pain, depression, obesity, urinary incontinence, and stroke continue to grow the need for reliable components is greater than ever.
The result is that Greatbatch Medical has become a leading supplier of non-valved introducers to implantable neuromodulation device manufacturers. We provide device design services as well as full device manufacturing.
